DESCRIPTION
Perform autonomously and responsibly the service and sale of food and beverages. Maintain good relations with customers and associates.
MAIN FUNCTIONS
- Perform waiter/waitress duties in restaurants and bars.
- Properly maintain their work area and tools.
- Prepare the setup of service, tables, banquet boards or conventions, chairs, sideboards, and any other furniture or common use items in lounges, restaurants, or bars.
- Perform other tasks derived from the job profile.
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND SKILLS
- Minimum qualification: Studies in Catering and Gastronomy (vocational training or similar), specific module in Hospitality Service in Hotels and Restaurants.
- Experience: minimum 1 year as a waiter/waitress in a 4 or 5* hotel or gourmet restaurant.
- Languages: Spanish and English and/or German (knowledge of English and/or German at hospitality level is essential to apply for the position).
- Knowledge of the MICROS operating system is valued.
- Greet and acknowledge the customer with a smile, eye contact, and using the customer’s name when possible.
- Ensure the confidentiality of customers’ personal data.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the importance of non-verbal communication in interaction with customers and colleagues.
