MICE Sales Executive

The Leisure Sales Executive is responsible for developing and maintaining Leisure accounts as well as developing and maintaining knowledge of market trends, competition set and customers.
Monitoring and Follow up of Sales Strategies within the Leisure segments. Assisting the ADOS or DOS in the preparation of sales strategies.
Proactively uncovering new prospects and maximizing conversion of business in line with Hotel’s budgetary goals is a key component of the position. Ensuring the maintenance and the development of contracted accounts in the segment. The responsibilities include maintaining relationships with key accounts and sourcing new business opportunities.
Under the guidance of the ADOS or DOS, responsible for maximizing Rooms business
from a defined geographic source of business.
Proactively uncovering new prospects and maximizing conversion of business in line
with the Hotel’s budgetary goals.
Responsible for the contracting of business and achieving the expectations set in the corresponding segments.
Solicits new and existing accounts to meet/exceed revenue goals through GSO’s,
telephone solicitation, outside sales calls, site inspections and written communication.
Responsible for maximizing golf Business.
Work collectively with the Arabella Golf Team to convert all leads.
Negotiate and convert golf groups.
Attends trade shows, workshops, Fam Trips, sales blitzes and give trainings
Support/Promotion of corporate programs such MI Leads, Marriott Rewards, Hotel Excellence.
Develops/maintains knowledge of market trends, competition and customers
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job:
– Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace and in the segmented markets: English and Spanish are required. German is a plus.
– Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
– Most tasks are performed in a team environment with the employee acting as a team player.
– Knowledge of sales skills, the Hospitality industry and competitive environment.
– Must possess computer skills, including, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel. Good knowledge of Opera systems in order to be competent in checking bedroom availability.
– Ability to assess/evaluate performance fairly.
– Capacity to work independently and to travel.
– High learning capacity and willingness to continue growing.
